EMDR Intensives: 8-Week Program vs 1–2 Day Sessions. What’s the Best Fit For Your Healing?

8-week EMDR intensive, Cape Coral

If you’ve been in therapy before, you already know that weekly 50-minute sessions sometimes feel like throwing a cup of water at a damn house fire.

You walk in, crack open one emotional door, and just as you start to figure out what’s happening…

Boom. The clock hits 50 minutes. Session over. Please schedule your breakdown for next Tuesday at 11:15.

That’s why EMDR Intensives exist because your nervous system deserves more than fragmented progress and emotional whiplash.

But now you’re here trying to figure out:

Do I pick a 1-day intensive, a 2-day intensive, or the full 8-week EMDR Program?

Let’s break down exactly what each option looks like, who it helps most, and how to know which one fits YOU and your nervous system.

First: What Even Is an EMDR Intensive?

EMDR Intensives let us do months of work in a fraction of the time by using longer, focused sessions (typically 3–4 hours).

No rushing.
No “see you next week.”
No stewing in the same emotional loop for days.

Just deep, intentional trauma processing with enough time for your system to settle before you go back into real life.

I offer two options:

  • 1–2 Day Intensives (3–4 hours each day)

  • 8-Week EMDR Reset Program (4 EMDR Intensives + 8 Integration Modules)

Both work, but in different ways. So let’s dig in.

LEARN MORE ABOUT EMDR INTENSIVES

Option 1: 1–Day or 2–Day EMDR Intensive

Best for single-event trauma, emotional resets, and “try it before I commit” energy.

The 1–2 day intensives are basically your EMDR power sprints.
Perfect if you have one major memory or situation that’s been hijacking your body.

✔ You’ll get:

  • A 90-minute intake (scheduled separately)

  • One or two 3–4 hour EMDR reprocessing sessions

  • A post-intensive integration plan

  • A grounding toolkit

  • A short-term support email following your session

✔ Ideal if you:

  • Want fast relief for a specific trauma or trigger

  • Are dipping your toes into EMDR

  • Have a stable emotional baseline

  • Want to test how your body reacts before enrolling in a bigger program

  • Have limited availability

✔ Pros:

  • Fast, focused, powerful

  • Perfect for recent events, a breakup, a medical trauma, an accident, a betrayal

  • Lower financial commitment

  • Great “starter” experience

✔ Cons:

  • Limited follow-up support

  • Not ideal for deep, long-term, or layered trauma

  • Follow-up sessions aren’t guaranteed (they depend on availability)

  • Not enough time to rewire long-standing patterns

If you’re curious about EMDR but not ready to dive into a full container, start here.

Option 2: The Untamed Reset
8-Week EMDR Intensive Program

Best for complex trauma, emotional burnout, chronic patterns, and identity-level healing.

This is not “a few longer sessions.”

This is a guided healing experience with weekly modules, nervous system support, and four 3-hour bi-weekly EMDR sessions spread over 8 weeks, giving your body time to integrate safely.

✔ You’ll get:

  • A 90-minute trauma mapping + preparation session

  • Four 3-hour EMDR Intensives (bi-weekly)

  • Eight weekly integration modules

  • A grounding toolkit

  • A mid-program reflection check-in

  • A final “UntamedReflection summary”

  • A 30-day integration plan

✔ Ideal if you:

  • Have long-term, layered trauma

  • Have attachment wounds, emotional neglect, or burnout

  • Are stuck in repeating patterns

  • Need accountability and structure

  • Want transformation, not just relief

  • Thrive with guidance, reflection, and ongoing support

✔ Pros:

  • Deepest, most comprehensive transformation

  • Time for your nervous system to heal and integrate

  • Accountability, structure, and guidance

  • Weekly modules keep you grounded and connected

  • You’re held between sessions

  • Perfect for women who want long-term change

✔ Cons:

  • Higher investment

  • Requires emotional readiness

  • Longer time commitment

  • More structure (not ideal if you’re NOT ready for depth work)

If you’ve felt stuck for years, if your trauma is layered, if your burnout feels bone-deep and you are over it, this is the program.

So… Which One Should You Pick?

Here’s the truth: Both options work. But they work differently.

Use this as your gut-check:

2-day EMDR intensive, Cape Coral

Choose the 1–2 Day Intensive if:

  • You want to process ONE specific thing

  • You want to try EMDR before committing

  • You want a fast reset

  • You already have a good support system

  • You’re emotionally stable and just stuck in one area

Choose The Untamed 8-Week Program if:

  • Your trauma feels complex or layered

  • You want deep, nervous-system-level healing

  • You need structure and support

  • You keep repeating the same patterns

  • You’re burnt out from carrying all your shit alone

  • You want long-term change, not quick relief

  • You hate getting one session deep, then having to stop
